Rhinoplasty
Aesthetic and functional remodeling of the nose
Remodeling of the nose or Rhinoplasty as we all already know, is the surgical intervention that changes the shape as well as the size of the nose.
At the DaVINCI Clinic, the aesthetic and functional remodeling of the nose is performed by an Italian ENT surgeon (Otorhinolaryngologist) who guarantees aesthetic results in harmony with other facial features as well as improved breathing forever. Thanks to the experience of Italian otorhinolaryngological surgeons, the DaVINCI Clinic counts hundreds of successful interventions performed on its patients for:
- Aesthetic remodeling of the nose (Rhinoplasty)
- Deviation of the septum (Septoplasty)
- Treatment of swollen mucous membranes of the respiratory tract (Turbinectomy)
- Treatment of sinusitis
- Trattamento della tonsillite (tonsille infette).
Nose remodeling surgery can be performed to correct an injury to the nose, a defect from birth, when we have breathing problems, or simply for aesthetic reasons. Rhinoplasty or Rhinoseptoplasty is one of those aesthetic surgeries that can completely change the appearance of your face. Nose remodeling can be done in two techniques: “open” or “closed”.
Our doctors have all the necessary experience for both techniques.
Preliminary consultation
A consultation with the ENT surgeon is carried out to determine which technique is most appropriate depending on the complexity of the intervention.
During the operation
The surgeon will treat each element of the nose one by one, including the ridge, any elevation or hump, the width of the nose and its nostrils, remodeling of the tip of the nose, direction of the bone and cartilage structure, and improvement of the airways.
The operation of aesthetic and functional remodeling of the nose is performed under total anesthesia, the patient is asleep during the entire duration of the operation. Depending on the complexity of the intervention, the operation lasts sixty to ninety minutes.
After the operation
The recovery period after nose remodeling lasts 10-12 days, depending on the swelling and complexity of the operation. After the operation, a plaster support is placed above the nose (formerly known as “plaster”) which helps to protect the structure of the nose from touches or injuries that can be caused by external factors.
Swellings and blackheads in the area around the nose and eyes last six to fourteen days, depending on the physiognomy of the individual. After 7-10 days, the support is removed by the medical staff of the clinic and you can see the preliminary result of the nose after the operation. However, the full recovery process is considered completed only after 6-12 months.
